- “Blazin'!”
- ―Asher's catchphrase
Asher is a red firefighting chugger and a member of Chug Patrol. He first appeared in the fourth season episode, Blazin' Wilson.
Biography[]
In his first appearance, Blazin' Wilson, he was brought in specially by Jackman to give Wilson some advanced fire fighting training. But during training, Wilson used up all his water when he was on patrol. So the fire got so strong that even Asher couldn't fight it. Wilson then grabbed a wet blanket from Brewster and threw it over the fire. Asher and Jackman both praised Wilson for his idea. During the Track Dash Fun Race, he came back to temporarily run Chug Patrol while Jackman, Calley, and Wilson were racing.
Technical Details[]
Basis[]
Asher is based on the Windhoff CargoSprinter, designed by Windhoff GmbH (Germany) in the mid-1990s. Him being a fire-fighting engine was most likely based off of the LRZ NT (Lösch- und Rettungszug Neue Technologie), developed by Windhoff and partners (2003) for Swiss rail operators Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon (BLS) and Swiss Federal Railways (SBB-CFF-FFS) for intital use on the Lötschberg Base Tunnel.
Livery[]
Asher is painted red with white lining, dark-blue underbody, white cab underbody, dark blue wheel trucks with white and red hubcaps. He also has yellow and red caution stripes on his coupler hatch and on the back of his backplate. His windows are also painted blue.

Trivia[]
- His Jazwares merchandising description reveals that Asher came from Tootington.
- In German, he is called "Otto".
- Despite not appearing until late into the fourth season, he still appears in the Chug Patrol music video, that takes place during Rescue at Rocky Ridge.
- Despite being voiced by the same actor in both dubs, Marcel McCalla gives Asher a New York accent in the US dub instead of his British accent in the UK dub. He is the third character to be in this situation, the first being Harrison, the second being Decka, the fourth being Skipper Stu, and the fifth and sixth being Harry and Hamish.
- Asher is the only character in the sixth season to not have a speaking role. However, in Tai Tracks, Asher is heard screaming while spinning around on a turntable, although he is left uncredited and it is unknown if he had retrieved his original voice actor.
- Asher was likely meant to debut in the original plan for the fifth series, in the cancelled 2016 special, Rescue and Repair: The New Chug Patroller. The special was scrapped, though the concept was reused for Asher's introductory episode, Blazin' Wilson.
