Trivia[]
- It contains an extra 5 minutes of footage to make a transition between the two episodes. This footage includes Tyne taking the tunnel boring machine back shortly after completing the tunnel and Brewster laying the track inside the tunnel. Payce tells Brewster that she is nervous about her first run, so Brewster lets her practice once the track is finished. It also includes a formal introduction to Cormac, showing him loading up the wagons of tunnel walls and some interactions with Skylar, who picks up barriers and returns them at night. The footage ends with Cormac taking an early night after his busy day loading the tunnel sections.
- It aired as two seperate episodes, We Are the Chuggineers and The Tootington Tunnel in the UK before recieving a DVD release on October 13th.
- It was originally titled "The Chuggineers: The Big Dig" according to an early licensee presentation made to promote Season 4 around the same time Chug Patrol: Ready to Rescue was starting up promotion.
- Stock footage from Chug Patrol: Ready to Rescue and Explorer Koko is used.
- This episode marks the first appearance of Payce and Cormac.
- This episode marks the last of a few things for Mayor Pullman.
- The last special where she is voiced by Lachele Carl in the American dub.
- Her last appearance until the sixth season episode, The Old Fashioned Way.
- Howie's line of dialogue is reused from Runaway Koko.
Goofs[]
