The Working Wheels Yard is where chuggers go to prepare for the day. It is located in the Depot and run by Howie.
Operations[]
The Working Wheels yard is where most chuggers start work- when a chugger arrives at the yard, Howie will call upon his crew to a specific platform to clean them up and have them loaded with their main power source; for example, the yard appears to have a coal stash for steam engines such as Pete or Olwin. While beginner trainees are not allowed at the yard, they are allowed there if given special permission or if an event is taking place at the yard.
In Season 6, the Chug Wash was brought back, causing the Working Wheels yard to become slightly obsolete; while it has only been seen briefly beyond Season 5, it appears that the yard is still used - now strictly as a "refueling station".

Trivia[]
- The Working Wheels Yard currently sits where the Rolling Stock Yard resided prior to its removal.
- Despite this, the Working Wheels Yard would not be installed until the second episode of Season 4, Wilson's Forest Flare, as the Rolling Stock Yard can still briefly be seen in Rescue at Rocky Ridge.
