TOMY took over Learning Curve in 2011 and now they make Chuggington Die-Cast and Chuggington Wooden Railway. They changed the Chuggington Die-Cast range to encourage vertical building and the aim of it is to build your layout as high as the Sky! They also fixed some problems that the old range had, such as the fact that it uses left and right track pieces instead of curves that can go both ways.
As well as serving as the Mater Toy Licensee, the company also co-produced the series, even funding Season 5, which was outsourced to China for development and rendering. The company parted ways with Ludorum in February 2016, following poor sales, and feeling that Chuggington would benefit from a new Toy Partner as Ludorum looked to re-focus the brand and content towards a younger target market. Jazwares would take their place as Master Toy Licensee in May 2016.
